About Me:

Hi, I’m Alexis Miller — a 24-year-old journalist and photographer passionate about telling stories that connect, inspire, and inform.

I’m a graduate of University of Central Florida, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, along with minors in Photography and Journalism. My education helped me develop both a strong narrative voice and a trained visual eye, allowing me to approach storytelling from multiple creative angles.

I began my professional journey in 2021 as an intern with the Observer Newspaper, where I discovered a love for community-driven reporting. Since then, I’ve transitioned into freelance journalism and photography, covering stories that highlight the people, places, and perspectives that shape our communities. I have also covered local political and school board meetings.

Since 2023, I’ve overseen the Palm Coast real estate section, delivering engaging coverage on local estates that have sold. In 2025, I launched and began writing the “Focus on Faith” column, a space dedicated to sharing meaningful stories, thoughtful conversations, and voices that might otherwise go unheard in the church community.

In addition to reporting and photography, I bring experience in marketing, editing, and social media content creation — skills that help me think strategically about audience engagement and storytelling across platforms.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: tell stories that matter and capture moments worth remembering.

Now that you know a little about me, I’d love for you to explore my work — happy reading (and scrolling)
